Acceptable use policy

Updated October 29, 2026

Halfspace ("we") makes Facet, which builds a specialist for each task you describe. This policy says what you may not use Facet for. It applies to everyone who uses Facet, and to the apps and people your specialists serve. It is part of our terms of service. We may update it; we'll email workspace owners when we do. Questions go to support@halfspacelabs.com.

What you may not do

Don't use Facet, or a specialist built with it, to:

  1. Harm children. No content that sexualizes minors, and nothing that helps groom, exploit or find a child. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
  2. Make weapons that can hurt many people. No help with biological, chemical, nuclear or radiological weapons, or with explosives.
  3. Attack computers or networks. No malware, phishing, credential theft, or breaking into systems you aren't authorized to test.
  4. Promote violence or harass people. No threats, incitement, support for violent extremist groups, or content that targets people for who they are.
  5. Deceive or defraud. No scams, unsolicited bulk messages, automated fake accounts, fake reviews, impersonation, or content meant to mislead people about elections or public health.
  6. Track or profile people without their knowledge. No covert surveillance, identifying people from their faces or voices, or inferring sensitive traits such as health, religion or sexual orientation.
  7. Create sexual content of real people without their consent.
  8. Decide about people automatically when it matters. Don't use a specialist to make a consequential decision about a person, such as on credit, a job, housing, insurance, education, healthcare or legal status, unless a person can review and change it.
  9. Use data you have no right to use. The examples and files you send in must be yours to use for this, and must not break anyone's privacy, copyright or other rights, or another AI provider's terms on using its outputs.
  10. Abuse Facet itself. No getting around limits or payments, creating accounts to collect free credits, reselling access without our agreement, trying to read held-out examples, or disrupting the service. To report a security issue, follow our security policy instead.

Don't use Facet in a way that is illegal where you or the people affected live, or help someone else break these rules. Facet is in beta and specialists can be wrong: you are responsible for how you use what they produce.

How we check

Automated systems check what you write into Facet, such as task descriptions, instructions, examples and requests. When they raise something, a person at Halfspace reviews it. We don't check calls to your specialists.

What we do

We act in proportion to what happened: we may ask you about it, remove the content, suspend your workspace, or close your account. When we suspend a workspace, we normally email its owners with the reason; to contest it, write to support@halfspacelabs.com. We report to the authorities where the law requires it or someone is at risk, and we respond to lawful requests.

Report misuse

If you see Facet or a specialist used against this policy, write to support@halfspacelabs.com. We aim to look at each report within a few days.
